AMD μProf
AMD μProf (“MICRO-prof”) is a software profiling analysis tool for x86 applications running on Windows, Linux and FreeBSD operating systems and provides event information unique to the AMD “Zen”-based processors and AMD INSTINCT™ MI Series accelerators. AMD uProf enables the developer to better understand the limiters of application performance and evaluate improvements.
Important
AMD μProf is not part of the officially supported software on ARCHER2. While the ARCHER2 service desk is able to provide support for basic use of this software (e.g. access to software, writing job submission scripts) it does not generally provide detailed technical support for the software and you may be directed to seek support from other places if the service desk cannot answer the questions.
Accessing AMD μProf on ARCHER2
To gain access to the AMDμProf tools on ARCHER2, you must load the module:
module load amd-uprof
